The essence of the Christian message is that Jesus Christ loves us and came in the flesh to die for the sins of man.   We have been forgiven for He has paid the price for our sinful nature.  For many who have accepted this truth we have come to understand what the Apostle Paul says, in Romans 3:23, “we all fall short of the glory of God”.   None of us are righteous and we all have a sinful nature that must be kept in check.   When I see ugly posts on the internet putting others down I find myself asking, “does that person realize that without Christ we are destined for an eternity without the love of God?”.   We all have areas in our life where we need the grace and forgiveness of Jesus to cover our sin for it’s purely by His blood that we acquire our eternal salvation and given access to the throne room of God.   Satan may accuse us but Jesus is our defender.   That being said, we are now called to be quick to forgive others, offering love and understanding; not condemnation and/or judgement.  This should be the heart of the Christian man or woman as we are to model His behavior as His ambassadors.  While on the cross, as His killers were laughing and mocking Him, Jesus cried out to the Father, “forgive them for they know not what they do”.   This is the kind of forgiveness we too are expected to demonstrate when others have offended us or sinned.   We can’t do this on our own but when we find our identity in Jesus Christ all things are possible.   He is the greatest example of love we will ever come to know and His love changes us from the inside out.  The scriptures give us countless examples of Christ’s heart toward the sinner.   He is patient, long-suffering, compassionate, merciful.  Learn to embrace His ways and you’ll come to know a peace that surpasses all understanding for His ways are always higher than ours.   In closing, I have come to find that it’s in our obedience to Him and His word where we find our greatest blessing!   God Bless you!
